PLANT MANAGER

Utility Partners, LLC provides state government, industrial, and municipal clients with innovative and cost-effective solutions for utility system management. From our roots in the southeast, Utility Partners has grown to establish regional offices in four states across the country, manages in excess of thirty public-private partner from one coast to another, and serves our clients with a staff of nearly 360 professionals. Our services include operations, maintenance, and management of public works, water, wastewater, and utility billing systems.
 
THE POSITION

Under the direct supervision of the Regional Manager, the Plant Manager will be responsible for the daily operations of the Department of Public Works. The selected candidate will be asked to plan and coordinate different jobs with the help of his supervisors and crew leaders of Keeps City’s administration. Informed Utility Partners of the problematic areas and provide progress reports.

 
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Oversees all daily operations of Streets, Fleet Maintenance, Water & Sewer, and Utility Services division ;
  • Ensure that the Utility Partners Health and Safety policies are respected ;
  • Reviews and handles complaints;
  • Make a proper inspection on several completed projects;
  • Monitors all vehicles and equipment to ensure they are kept in an operational manner ;
  • Conducts daily meetings with supervisors to keep abreast of ongoing or upcoming projects ;
  • Attends Staff and Council meetings ;
  • Coordinates with City officials on public works operations ;

 
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in the water treatment industry is required ;
  • Knowledge of operating characteristics of assigned equipment ;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills ;
  • Considerable knowledge of work hazards and safety precautions.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instruction, including Utility Partners’ department rules, policies, and regulations.
  • Ability to deal with public and city officials on a regular basis in a professional, courteous manner.
  • Ability to complete and submit written reports as needed.

 
CONDITIONS:

Overall compensation includes:

  • Health insurance will be available to the employee on the 1st of the month following 60 days of continuous employment.
