EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Utility Partners, LLC provides state government, industrial, and municipal clients with innovative and cost-effective solutions for utility system management. From our roots in the southeast, Utility Partners has grown to establish regional offices in four states across the country, manages in excess of thirty public-private partner from one coast to another, and serves our clients with a staff of nearly 360 professionals. Our services include operations, maintenance, and management of public works, water, wastewater, and utility billing systems.

THE POSITION

Under the direct supervision of the Water & Sewer Operator, the Equipment Operator will be responsible for driving/hauling equipment and materials to and from various job sites. Although the Equipment Operation is a full-time position, the selected candidate may be asked to perform other duties.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Operates a low boy truck in hauling heavy equipment to and from job site ;
  • Hauls material to and from job sites ;
  • Responsible for safe and efficient operation of his/her equipment ;
  • Responsible for daily preventive maintenance of equipment needed ;
  • Inspects equipment used and reports malfunctions or needed repairs on a daily basis ;
  • Occasional lifting of heavy items including tie down chain weighing up to approximately 70 lbs ;
  • Other duties assigned.

 
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Class D Florida license drivers ;
  • Knowledge of operating characteristics of assigned equipment ;
  • Knowledge of applicable traffic laws, ordinances and regulations ;
  • Knowledge of work hazards and safety precautions associated with assigned equipment ;
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instruction, including Utility Partners’ department rules, policies and regulations.

 
CONDITIONS:

Overall compensation includes:

  • Health insurance will be available to the employee on the 1st of the month following 60 days of continuous employment.
